Richmond Farmers’ Market
September 23 – Let’s welcome back Loggerhead, on stage from 5:00 to 6:00 at the Richmond Farmers’ Market. They are a Vermont-based duo that livens up any occasion with original and traditional folk and bluegrass music, bringing what Seven Days newspaper has called an “…an instrumentally strong strain of folk that weaves in touches of country, bluegrass and, for good measure, classical.” Using various combinations of guitar, dobro, mandolin and fiddle, Loggerhead has been described as “…sometimes restrained and sometimes blazing enough to incite a hootenanny!” Check out their recently released and favorably reviewed CD entitled Once in A While.
September 30th – Join us for fun fiddle music with Pete and Karen Sutherland at the Richmond Farmers’ Market from 5:00 to 6:00. Pete and Karen are returning due to popular demand and this will be their eighth year of sharing their living folk tradition at the Market. The Sutherlands link the endless chain of people making music that breathes and dances in their own rhythm. Their music communicates the timeless stories of their art form. This event is being sponsored by Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont. Thank you NOFA!
