Food doesn’t get any fresher than this.
Our rolling, hilly pastures are home to a number of family farms and dairies that steadily work their land, herds, and flocks to produce some of the best and freshest food money can buy. Pasture-raised meats, sustainably grown vegetables, vibrant flowers, fresh milk, pick-your-own berries, bright greens, eggs laid just this morning – you haven’t tasted real food until you’ve had it fresh from the farm.
You can sign up for community-supported agriculture (CSA) shares year round, which offer weekly or monthly allotments of meat, produce, and more during the growing season, storage crops in the fall, and frozen vegetables in the winter.
Several area farms welcome visitors to see their animals, buy items produced on the farm, or take a tour (it’s nice to call ahead before you go); many also sell the fruits of their labor at local grocery stores and seasonal markets.Visit Local Farms
